Getting Started

DIToolbox is a roster manager for Diablo Immortal clan PvP — Shadow War and Tower War — with player stats tracking and a build calculator. This section orients you: what your role can do, how to find each feature, and where to RSVP.

Reading this without an account

Everything here is free to read, and the tools are free to use — no account needed. Signing in with Discord is only what connects you to a clan: it is how a clan leader maps your Discord handle to your character, which is what puts you on rosters and lets you submit your stats. Actions restricted to clan managers are marked inline like this: Officers only.

The four roles

Every feature is gated by your role in the current clan. Roles are resolved automatically — there is no manual sign-up:

RoleHow it's assignedCan do
VisitorSigned in with no clan (or not signed in)The free tools and all of this documentation
MemberYour Discord handle is mapped to a character on the clan rosterView rosters, view stats, submit your own stats
OfficerA clan officer / owner (or platform superadmin)Everything a member can, plus edit rosters and admin tools
LeaderElevated clan permission (leads the clan)Same access as officer

If you should be a member but show as a visitor, ask a clan leader to map your Discord handle to your character on the Members page. You must be in the clan's Discord server with the member role for the mapping to stick.

The main menu

The top navigation is a 2-tier menu: top-level sections that unfold to their options. Sections and options only appear when your role permits, so a member never sees Admin.

Header controls

Two controls live in the header regardless of which page you're on:

  • Clan switcher — if you belong to more than one clan (or play multiple characters), switch the active clan here. Roles and menus re-resolve for whichever clan is active.
  • Stats reminder — a color-coded button prompting your next weekly stats submission: green when there's time, orange as the deadline nears, red when overdue. Click it to submit.

First sign-in

1

Sign in with Discord

Authentication is Discord OAuth. Once signed in, the app checks your clan membership.
Sign in with Discord
2

Land on your clan (or onboarding)

If you belong to exactly one clan you go straight to its Shadow War roster. With several clans or characters you pick one; with none, you land on /start to create a clan or ask a leader to add you.
Land on your clan (or onboarding)
3

Create or join a clan

From onboarding, Create a clan launches the guided setup wizard. To join an existing clan instead, a leader maps your Discord handle to your character on their Members page — then you appear as a Member on your next visit.
4

Explore from the menu

Use the top menu to reach Events, Stats, and (for officers) Admin. Visitors only see the DI Calculator until they join a clan.

How to RSVP for events

You do not RSVP inside DIToolbox. Availability comes from Discord: react / sign up in your clan's Discord event, and it syncs into the roster live (in real time). Officers then place available players onto teams.

Confirmed — signed up in-gameAvailable — RSVP'd via DiscordUnavailable — auto-removed from roster

For how officers turn availability into a roster, see and . To understand tiers, roles, and scoring first, see and .

DI Power Score Calculator

A free Diablo Immortal build comparison tool. Configure gems, sets, essences and stats, pick a target, and see your build's power scored by a tick-based combat engine — then compare two builds side by side.

Open to everyone — no clan or sign-in required. Everything you configure is saved in your browser and shareable by URL. ·

What it does

  • Two view modes — Single (one build, centered) or Side by Side (Baseline vs Experiment).
  • Three perspectives — every build reports a Floor, Effective and Ceiling multiplier.
  • DPS or Survivability — toggle to score offense or defense (vs Hits / vs DoTs / vs CC).
  • PvE / PvP — bookmarks on the score panel switch the simulation and apply the PvP strife nerf.
  • Find Possible Upgrades — the engine brute-forces gem/set swaps and ranks them by percent gain.
  • Auto-save + share — builds persist to your browser; the ?build= URL updates live so you can copy and share it.

The scores are experimental and the formulas are still being refined — a dismissable banner in the app says as much. Treat the numbers as a relative comparison tool, not an absolute DPS readout.

Reading the score

Scores are shown as a multiplier (e.g. 4.20x) over base damage — not a raw DPS number. The big number is Effective Power; two smaller numbers sit beneath it.

PerspectiveMeaning
FloorPermanent effects only — your guaranteed minimum.
EffectiveTime-weighted over the rotation (buffs scaled by uptime). The headline number.
CeilingEverything active at once — your burst potential.

In Side-by-Side mode the Experiment panel also shows a coloured delta (e.g. +3.4%) versus Baseline.

The scoring formula

Damage is a product of independent multiplicative buckets, plus a separate additive proc layer:

Score = baseHPS × GEN × LEG × EFF × CRIT × ATK_SPD + PROC_DPS

Final = Score × COM (Combat Rating bonus, capped at 11.3%)
GEN

Non-gem damage sources (sets, essences). Additive within the bucket.

LEG

Legendary gem damage. Tracked separately from GEN.

EFF

Target-aware bonuses — vs bosses, vs CC'd targets, HP-scaling effects, stat-comparison curves.

CRIT

Time-weighted crit multiplier = 1 + CHC × (CHD − 1). Gem CHC is additive with base; set CHC multiplies remaining miss chance.

ATK_SPD

Attack speed multiplier on hit-rate-dependent damage. Capped at 100%.

PROC_DPS

Extra-attack procs, DoTs and resolve bursts — added on top, not multiplied.

COM

Combat Rating bonus. Final flat multiplier, capped at 11.3%.

Because the buckets multiply, a 10% gain in any one bucket is worth exactly as much as a 10% gain in any other. Balanced builds beat all-in-one-stat builds.

Stat caps

The Stats section enforces these caps on input. Values are entered as percentages.

StatCapNotes
CHD220%The input caps at 220% total crit damage (base 100% + up to 120% bonus).
Attack Speed100%Hit-rate multiplier.
BED100%Beneficial Effect Duration — extends self-buff durations.
CDR30%Cooldown Reduction — skill cooldowns only, NOT gem internal cooldowns.
HED100%Harmful Effect Duration — extends debuffs/DoTs on the target.
Block Value70%Fraction of a blocked hit negated (default 50%, min 50%).
Combat Rating11.3%Flat damage bonus (COM bucket).
Damage Reduction80%Survivability.
Block Chance80%Survivability.
CC Resist80%CC duration reduction (survivability).
DoT Reduction80%Continual-damage mitigation (survivability).

Base CHC and Attack Speed both cap at 100%.

Stacking rules

Effects stack differently by delivery type:

Permanent flat — additive

Always active; sums within its bucket. Two permanent +10% gems in LEG give +20%.

Buffs — additive with uptime

Buff A: +30% value, 40% uptime → 0.40 × 30% = 12.0%
Buff B: +20% value, 50% uptime → 0.50 × 20% = 10.0%

Effective = 12.0% + 10.0% = 22.0%
Ceiling   = 30% + 20% = 50%  (all active at once)

Debuffs — grouped multiplication

Highest-only within a mechanic group; groups multiply across each other.

Armor Break group: +30%
Increased Damage Taken group: +25%

Total = (1 + 0.30) × (1 + 0.25) − 1 = 62.5%

Critical Hit Chance — hybrid

Gem CHC is additive with base; set CHC multiplies the remaining miss chance:

CHC = 1 − (1 − (base + Σ gem_i)) × Π(1 − set_j)

Proc damage — separate layer

DoTs, clone attacks and resolve bursts form an additive DPS layer added on top of the multiplicative buckets.

Uptime & duration

Effective Duration = base × (1 + BED)
Effective Cooldown = base × (1 − CDR)
Uptime = min(1, effective duration / effective cooldown)

BED extends buff durations (cap 100%).

CDR reduces skill cooldowns (cap 30%). Does NOT affect gem internal cooldowns.

HED extends debuff/DoT durations on the target (cap 100%).

Secondary stats & the target

Four secondary stats derive combat bonuses from the difference between your stats and the target's, via the logarithmic curves from :

bonus = maxBonus × (1 − e^(−7.748 × clamp(|diff|, 3000) / 3000))
Your statvs TargetProducesRange
Armor PenArmorCHD bonus+56% (one-sided)
ArmorArmor PenBlock value+20% (one-sided)
PotencyResistanceHED±30% PvE / ±50% PvP
ResistancePotencyHER±30% PvE / ±50% PvP

The Target section shows a live readout of these four derived bonuses (CHD bonus, Block val, HED, HER) as you edit your stats or the target.

Custom targets

In the Custom tab you can set Armor, Resistance, Armor Pen, Potency, Max HP and a CC-Immune flag by hand — then type a name and hit Save to store it for later.

Survivability

Switch the score toggle to Survivability to score defense across three columns — vs Hits, vs DoTs, and vs CC — each reporting Full Sync (ceiling) / Sustained / Floor. Expand Bucket Detail for the per-bucket breakdown.

PvE / PvP mode

The PvE / PvP bookmarks sit on the left edge of the score panel:

  • PvE — the target respawns; score reflects sustained farming.
  • PvP — non-permanent, non-damage effect values are reduced to 30% (strife), and the HED/HER curves widen to ±50% (vs ±30% in PvE).

Gems, sets & essences

  • Up to 8 gems — each rank R1–R10, classified with a bucket, delivery type and conditions.
  • Sets — mix 2pc / 4pc / 6pc bonuses across your 8 gear slots; some sets add a stack slider (0–15). Standard 6pc buffs use a 40s cooldown / 12s duration.
  • Essences — one per gear slot (8 slots), auto-classified from the game skillbook. Each carries a status badge:

BadgeMeaning
scoredFully classified — contributes to the score.
partialPartially classified — some effects mapped.
mappedManually mapped, not yet fully scored.
obsoleteRemoved from the active pool in update 5.0 — contributes nothing; replace it.

Tutorial: compare two builds

1

Switch to Side by Side

Click the Side by Side tab at the top. You now have a Baseline (left) and an Experiment (right). Section collapse and the PvE/PvP + DPS/Survivability toggles stay in sync across both.
Switch to Side by Side
2

Clone the baseline

On the Experiment header, click Copy from Baseline to duplicate it (you'll be asked to confirm if the Experiment already has custom settings), then change one thing.
3

Read the delta

The Experiment score shows a coloured +/−% delta versus Baseline for Effective Power, so you see instantly whether the change helped.

Tutorial: find possible upgrades

1

Open the finder

Click Find Possible Upgrades above a build. The engine evaluates gem and set swaps against your current build and lists up to 10 suggestions, ranked by percent gain.
Open the finder
2

Constrain the search

Set a Max rank per star tier (defaults: 5★ → R6, 2★ → R8, 1★ → R10), click a star to exclude that tier, or open Blacklist to hide gems/sets you don't own.
3

Apply a suggestion

Each row shows the swap, the inline formula diff and a +% gain. Hover a row and click Apply to write it into the build.

Sharing a build

The page keeps the ?build= query param in sync with your current view. To share, just copy the URL from the address bar — anyone who opens it loads your exact composition.

The URL encodes the build composition only — class, gems, sets, essences and skills — not your stats or target. When a shared link opens, its composition is merged over your own saved stats, so your secondaries are preserved.
